The Challenge
Creative Display Works had outgrown three things at once — its tooling, its web presence, and its operating discipline — and each gap was quietly capping growth.
- Fragmented tooling. Operations spanned seven separate SaaS systems — order planning in one tool, engineering specs in another, installation tracking in a third, fleet/route data in a fourth, inventory in a fifth, project management in a sixth, reporting pieced together from CSV exports. Data lived in silos, and every cross-functional decision required manual reconciliation.
- An underperforming web presence. The prior site generated little inbound, had no self-serve quoting, and was largely invisible in search — leaving the sales team to source every opportunity manually.
- No consistent operating cadence. Planning was reactive, org structure and decision rights were informal, and a growing sales team had no strategic plan to run against.
The founder, Tim Miloserny, had already priced out traditional consulting firms and custom dev shops. The quotes came back at six figures and 6–12 month timelines — and none of them would stay embedded to actually operate the change.
The Solution
Aries Consulting Group didn't run a project — it built a still-active embedded partnership across three co-equal pillars. Each is detailed below.
- Pillar 1 — Operations consulting: hands-on leadership of the operating cadence, ownership advisory, org design, and sales enablement.
- Pillar 2 — CDWos: a custom AI-native operations platform that replaced the seven-tool stack with one unified system.
- Pillar 3 — The public website: a fully custom B2B site with instant configurable quoting that became the demand engine.
The pillars reinforce each other: the consulting sets the operating discipline, CDWos removes the friction, and the website fills the funnel — all operated by the same partner, so nothing gets handed off and dropped.
The Results
Operating discipline & strategy (consulting)
- Late shipments reduced 63% through a daily cross-department planning cadence led hands-on across all department leadership
- Formalized organizational structure with clear roles, decision rights, and accountability
- Advised ownership on key leadership hires and org design
- Built the strategic plan for a new sales team and coached the team to lead their own weekly planning, execution, and sales meetings
Operations platform (CDWos)
- Replaced seven disconnected tools with one unified platform across three connected apps
- Real-time visibility across Office, Field, Inventory, and the warehouse floor (five always-on TV dashboards) — previously stitched together from manual exports
- AI-powered daily route optimization and dynamic re-routing eliminate manual dispatch and surface the highest-value stop sequence automatically
- Field crews work from a mobile PWA with push notifications — no SaaS seats, no per-installer license fees
- Platform live and actively extended — new modules deployed on the client's roadmap, not a vendor's
Demand generation (website)
- Custom B2B website with instant configurable quoting ("Fixture Builder") drove +450% web traffic, +80% lead volume, +180% web-driven sales, and top-10 Google rankings for primary keywords within 30 days of launch (vs. prior-site baseline)
- Inbound leads now arrive daily, including AI-assistant-referred traffic (e.g., ChatGPT), tracked via server-side GA4 attribution
Delivered faster and at lower cost than the traditional consulting or dev-shop alternatives the founder had quoted — and, unlike either, still embedded and compounding.
